Mozovos (Mozambican Eggs) is an egg farm that Roger and Lynne started to enable the internship program to be self sustainable. The business provides work and business experience for the interns and other people in a community that has over 90% unemployment. For the interns the business is teaching them a strong work ethic and the necessary skills to run a business which will support them and their families in ministry. The business also provides much needed eggs to Maputo and the surrounding communities at affordable prices. They have about 8,000 chickens which produce 6,000 to 7,000 eggs per day!

The eggs are boxed in cardboard boxes and then delivered all around town - some to individuals and some to businesses. Roger and the interns spent three months working for free at another egg farm to learn the business. They now run a surprisingly clean egg farm where hens are kept in cages for about 18 months and then sold to locals for food. It's a lot of hard work, but God has blessed them and they continue to grow.
Roger and Lynne's dream would be to raise money to double Mozovos business (right on the current property) providing more jobs and more eggs for the community as well as start up money for a duplicate farm in Northern Mozambique, where there are even fewer jobs and resources for the people.

I'm spending time in prayer for you and the Schmidts. Give them a big hello...and hug...from me. Thanks for the great updates and keep strong in HIS service! :)
